Have you ever been to an event, and after a while realized that you were dressed too casually, or even worse, too well? For example at a party where you are the only one wearing a suit? With the Alpha RoS 2 light, you'll never step on it on the bike. We're talking about those days when it's indecisive hot and cold, when you don't know what to wear. A heavy winter jacket, and after a few pedals the sweat starts to flow. A lighter outfit, and as soon as the sun comes in a little, the clapping begins, but with teeth.
Two or three simple concepts are what define the design of this top cycling jacket. Wind protection on the front surfaces, highly breathable fabrics on the back, and all-round water repellency, in case, in addition to cold and heat, it finally decides to rain. But what makes this cycling garment unsurpassed is the way, the modus as they say in Rome, in which Castelli implemented these concepts. Wind protection comes from the lightweight GORE-TEX INFINIUM™ WINDSTOPPER® fabric, which is stretchy in two directions to follow the body as you move, while being so light you'll think you forgot you had it on. This ultra-lightweight windproof shell is complemented by a separate inner made of ProSecco Strada fabric, with a separate zip so it can be opened (or closed) separately for ideal temperature control and ventilation. The back of the garment is made of Nano Flex Xtra dry, a fabric that characterizes Castelli's vanguard, and which ensures very good thermal insulation, but does not have a membrane and therefore allows sweat to be expelled and the body to breathe. The cut of this cardigan is fitted so it doesn't billow like a puffer, while the little details are crucial and tell the difference: YKK slick and buttery zippers, reflective eyelets on the pockets, and a thin-flat silicone band around the waist.
